With Citrix thin-client technology, all network transactions

and applications run from one centralized server. The

thin-client device situated at the work area contains no

onboard storage or memory and depends on the server to

to deploy, manage and execute applications.

With Citrix software and an application server, end-user

devices can be terminals, PCs, Macs - almost any type of

unit, old or new.

Citrix makes the thin-client server revolution possible with

its WinFrame and MetaFrame software. To send the

necessary information back and forth to the client devices,

the Citrix approach uses highly efficient presentation services

protocol called ICA or Independent Computing Architecture.

This enables only mouse clicks, screen updates and

keystrokes to travel the network.

Citrix products give users the ability to access virtually any

Windows-based application, across any type of network

connection, to any type of client with superb responsiveness,

even over low-bandwidth connections.
